HRH Prince Fahd bin Khaled, the general supervisor of the Prince Sultan Arabian Horse Festival, announces the participation of 271 horses from 25 countries in the ninth edition

The general supervisor of the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Arabian Horse Festival, His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Khalid bin Sultan, announced the participation of 271 horses and 141 horse owners representing 25 countries in the camel show competitions in the ninth edition of the festival. This came during the press conference held this evening. Wednesday at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh to reveal the festival’s developments about Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Cup (first category) and the Khalidiya International Stables Cup (third category), and His Highness indicated that the festival will start on the twenty-fifth of this January, with nine races of Arabian horse races with the participation of 98 Horses from 4 countries of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Oman, and Qatar. His Highness also indicated that the title show will start on Thursday, January 27, for three days, at the Khalidiya farm, west of Riyadh.
His Highness thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince – may God preserve them – for the great support that Saudi equestrianism finds, including purebred Arabian horses, pointing to the support that the Prince Sultan Festival finds from His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Supreme Committee The organizer of the festival, stressing His Highness’ keenness to advance the festival and contribute to the expansion of the base of Arab horse owners in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To contribute to the diversity of activities and add more events to the festival.”
The draw for the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Cup for Speed Races revealed the participation of 10 horses that will compete over a distance of 1,800 meters on the sand track and a prize of 1,500,000$, while 12 horses will compete for the Khalidiya International Stables Cup at a distance of 1,600 meters on the sand track, with a financial value of 500,000 $.
